Bandhavgarh National Park, which is well known for a huge population of Royal Bengal Tigers in India, has again been in the news for cubs for a good reason. Tiger reserve officials have spotted 6 new tiger cubs and 3 leopard cubs during the patrolling. They are around 3 to 5 months old according to the officials.

The 3 tiger cubs spotted in the Pataur region is females. The other three tiger cubs are found in Manpur region. The rest of the three leopard cubs are spotted on the Panpatha enclave, which is just around 1 week old. The park management has been monitoring the cubs and all of them are healthy. There has been a rise in the clusters of leopards and tigers after the birth of these cubs in Bandhavgarh National Park. It seems to be a good sign according to park management. They have been taking security vigilance constantly.

It is also reported that a tigress from the Manpur enclave has three tiger cubs and the rest of the three belong to the T54 female tiger in the Pataur enclosure.

Leopard cubs recorded on camera for the first time

Siddharth Gupta, Deputy Director IFS, Bandhavgarh, said, “The leopard and tiger cubs recorded are completely healthy and being supervised by park authorities. The territory of leopards and tigers has been raised because of lockdown and no crowd of tourists in the national park. It has been beneficial for them to grow. Leopard cubs have been trapped on camera for the first time.
